As the song title suggests, Taken By Trees’ latest release ‘Vibrant Colours’ is a vibrant, colourful piece of indie-disco, complete with hand drums and a slinky, hip-twisting bass line. The top line is the underplayed, childlike voice of the band’s frontwoman Victoria Bergsman, who took to the microphone for this song inspired by the birth of her son. As well as lyrics on motherly love and a changed life, Bergsman also leaves a clue for the keen-eared listener - “This is what I’ve got for you / all things yellow to blue” - which hints towards the release of the band’s upcoming, fourth album From Yellow To Blue. Speaking about the soon-to-appear record, the vocalist says: "‘Yellow to Blue’ my fourth studio album has been three years in the making – and not focussing entirely on me brought something new to the table – which is what I need every time I make a new record. I was pregnant, had Charlie and then tried to find focus and patience caring for a child whilst working with on-demand producers like Jessie Shatkin, who thankfully adopted this album like a labour of love.'" -Hannah Thacker
